BRICS Countries(India, Russia, China, Brazil and South Africa) Nursing Forum in India


BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) represent more than 40% of the world’s population and about 40% of global disease burden, while playing an increasingly important role in global health affairs. The nursing cooperation of the BRICS countries will be of significance to the global diseases prevention and improving people’s health in BRICS countries. 

Although the national situation varies, the BRICS countries face many common health challenges. The National Nurses Associations of BRICS countries are full members of International Council of Nurses and are committed for promotion of nursing cooperation among the BRICS countries. 

In Based on mutual support, mutual learning and mutual respect for cultural differences, the BRICS National Nurses Associations agree to establish a long term cooperative partnership through discussion and friendly consultation; coordinate positions in international organizations and setting and lead the international nursing development; strengthen academic exchanges on nursing science in various fields; jointly support national health development and promote nursing and health services development.

 

Objective
To enhance communication and understanding among BRICS nations on contribution of nursing industry towards achieving Universal Health Coverage in relation to nursing policies and practice and the efforts by nations to nurture nursing leaders for leading the healthcare. This forum may also explore the feasibility for international collaboration through student exchange and leverage of technology.

How to reach their

By Air

Delhi is well connected with domestic and international flights, to all the major cities within and outside India. Almost all the major airlines have their flights operating from Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi. Domestic Airport connects Delhi to the major cities in India. 

By Train

The railway network connects Delhi to the all major and, nearly, all the minor destinations in India. The three important railway stations of Delhi are New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. 

By Road

Delhi is well connected, by a network of roads and national highways, with all the major cities in India. The three major bus stands in Delhi are Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Kashmiri Gate, Sarai Kale-Khan Bus Terminus and Anand Vihar Bus Terminus. Both the government and private transport providers provide frequent bus services. One can also get government as well as private taxis here.
